在国家层面, the Democrats have picked up six seats in the U.S. House—far short of where they thought they’d get. They have also picked up two seats in the U.S. 参议院.

The partisan composition of the 德州 delegation has not changed (25 代表ublicans / 11 Democrats).

In the only competitive 德州 congressional race, 代表ublican 国会man Will Hurd defeated Democrat Pete Gallego (a former state representative and congressman) by 48.46% to 46.8% … a difference of about 3,800 votes.

The partisan composition of the 德州 参议院 (20 代表ub / 11 Dem) has not changed.

The upper chamber will lose two chairmen:

  • 森. Kevin Eltife (Business and Commerce)

There will be three freshman members:

  • SD 1 – Bryan Hughes, R-Mineola (replacing 森. Eltife)
